The Comedians

As ever, this year will see some of the biggest names in comedy make the crowds snigger in the Big Top. Some of the highlights are the always satirical and self-deprecating Stewart Lee, panel show favourite Sean Lock, star of hit sitcom Catastrophe Rob Delaney, and the blisteringly funny Sara Pascoe. And that's only just scratching the surface!

The location

Just a stone’s throw from Bristol's Harbourside and the Old City, leafy Queen Square is a magnificent Georgian park in the heart of Bristol. Surrounded by trees, cobbled streets and Georgian townhouses, the square makes a lovely spot to enjoy an evening of guffawing on a balmy July night.

The Venue

Listening to cracking comedy in a colourful Big Top gives the event a real festival vibe and makes for instagrammable pictures too – guaranteed to get you a flurry of likes. With all that giddy laughing, it does heat up in the tent, so be prepared. We recommend arriving early to get closest to the action…heckles at the ready!

The Food and Drink

The food and drink on offer is almost as impressive as the stellar line-up, with gourmet street food served up by local foodie heroes and a great selection of bars.

Aptly described as 'utterly delicious' Zoe's Ghana Kitchen is one of the irresistable foodie options you can fill up from. If the idea of jollof fried chicken wasn't enough to tempt you, maybe the fact that head chef Zoe has been earmarked as one of London's top ten chefs to look out for by Time Out will do the trick.

Caribbean street food experts Tasty Ragga take inspiration from the barbecues of the West Indies to produce some fine jerk-flavoured, wholesome and colourful cuisine. Flavoured with homemade spice mixes and served by happy people, they do a mean chicken wrap and beanburger.

It’s not too late to book tickets to this year’s blooming brilliant Bristol Comedy Garden! The following shows still have availability:
