Coffee Shops & Cafes in Bristol

Bristol is home to lots of brilliant coffee shops to satisfy your caffeine cravings.  From minimalist shops to cosy cafes and even little coffee vans to grab and go, there’s plenty of choice in and around the city to keep you fuelled during your visit! 

Bristol is home to its very own coffee festival as well as an array of coffee roasters based in around the city - look out for them on the menu boards of the city’s independent coffee shops, or ask the barista if you can try something roasted locally. Pinkmans have cafe-bakeries dotted across the city, from Clifton and Stokes Croft to Bristol Cathedral and Wapping Wharf.

Most of Bristol’s coffee shops sell yummy cakes, pastries, as well as lots of good alternatives for non-caffeine drinkers too, from herbal teas to hot chocolates. If you’re looking for something a bit sturdier, many cafes also have a selection of sandwiches, soups and baked goods to fill you up.

Head to Watershed, Arnolfini, No.1 Harbourside or Mud Dock for a cuppa with a harbour view, or Dareshack, Spicer + ColeSmall St Espresso and Full Court Press for speciality coffee.

If you're in need of some grab 'n' go bites with plenty of vegan or gluten-free options, try Press Cafe in Redcliffe or one of the many food vendors at St Nicholas Market.

Looking for something a bit different? Take a seat in the old dining hall of Bristol Castle in the Vaulted Chambers Cafe in Castle Park.

The main shopping areas in the city not only have well-known high street brands, but are also a haven of independent cafes and restaurants, where you’re never short of a place to stop to fill up on wholesome, locally-sourced food. 

Many of Bristol’s attractions and venues also have great cafes where you can get a bite to eat, including St George’s Bristol, Bristol Old Vic, RWA, and Spike Island.
