Looking for places to eat in Bristol? We've got you covered. Bristol has a renowned food and drink scene, from our creative street eats and incredible local produce to our fine dining scene and impressive cocktail bars and secret speakeasies.
Bristol is fiercely proud of its independent restaurants, buzzing bars and cafes, with every district of the city boasting its own flavour of culinary delights, whether you’re looking for some top notch Sunday lunch, a family-friendly cafe or a dog-friendly pub.
Bristol is home to an award-winning array of successful independents. Head to local lunch spot St Nick's Market for a fantastic selection of street food, or explore the multitude of indie traders housed in shipping containers in Wapping Wharf or hop on a ferry to do a waterside pub crawl.
Looking for somewhere fancy to eat? We tend to keep things fairly relaxed in this part of the world, with our family-run fine dining establishments just as happy for you to show up in daps (trainers) or suited and booted. The city's Michelin-rated restaurants serve sensational, seasonal menus, but there are plenty of other highly-rated and much-loved restaurants you won’t want to miss – our regular Food Friday series on our social media channels will give you a taste of what locals love!
Bristol's rich mix of cultures are reflected in the food available in different areas of the city. Head to St Mark's Road in Easton for Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisine, St Pauls and Stokes Croft for Caribbean, Clifton for classic British and seafood or Park Street and the Old City for cocktails and casual bites.
Harbourside is home to more great pubs and eateries than we can count, while King Street is the go-to spot for after-work drinks on the cobbled stones to a background of jazz music.
You’ll find a plethora of pubs, bars and clubs for after-dinner drinks, but you simply must sample our cocktail bars. Want to check out some of Bristol’s more secretive speakeasies? Add Hyde & Co, The Clockwork Rose, The Milk Thistle or The Granary Club to your list.
Lots of places to eat in Bristol love welcoming little ones in for a tiny tea or babycino, too. Head to Cabot Circus for starters. Staff will be happy to help with high chairs, colouring-in kits and anything else that might make your family meal more enjoyable.
So you see… when it comes to places to eat in Bristol, you’re so spoilt for choice. From vegan to vegetarian, or breakfast and brunch options to a traditional Sunday lunch: we know you will find something truly tantalising to tuck into.
Make sure you keep an eye on our events calendar. It’s busy year-round with fantastic food events, from seasonal dinners to bottomless brunches and expert food tours. Or check our special offers to see the latest set menus, drinks deals, family discounts and pre-theatre dining options.
Come get your fill! We’re a real foodie city, just as renowned for our creative street eats as our fine dining scene.
