Bristol's best-known steakhouse, The Ox in the Old City offers semi-private dining for up to eight people in The Glass Room, or up to 30 people in their side dining room. Full venue hire is also available for dining up to 80 people in their opulent basement restaurant. Sister bar The Milk Thistle also has a range of flexible private spaces for you to book for a dinner or cocktail masterclass.
Cappadocia on Baldwin Street has a range of options, from private booths to function rooms, where you can order sharing platters of Turkish mezze for your group, or even book a cocktail masterclass for your event!
Hotel Du Vin & Bistro in the city centre has four quirky private dining rooms within restored 18th Century warehouses, plus a dedicated Event Manager who can help organise something special, whether you want a tailored menu or a wine tasting for your group. Hotel du Vin also has in-house sommeliers who can guide you through their huge wine list.
Up the hill in Clifton, take your pick from one of two converted bank vaults for private dining at Bar 44, where 6 - 12 guests can tuck into tapas from the menu on the night or choose from one of the set menus for groups.
No.4 Clifton Village has two secluded rooms for private hire, which can host groups of between 10 and 40, and The Ivy Clifton Brasserie offers two private spaces for events and functions which are available to book seven days a week, perfect to celebrate a special occasion.
The Private Dining Room at Gambas in Wapping Wharf is an intimate space for gathering with friends, on special occasions, and for corporate hospitality. Up to 20 guests can enjoy a Spanish feast tailored to your group by Head Chef Gustavo Benet.
Independent beer bar The Strawberry Thief in the Old City is available for private hire and has seating for 70, or for larger events Bambalan can host several hundred guests in the restaurant, or out on their colourful terrace.
Not only a pop-up spot, supper club venue and community kitchen, Kitchen by KASK in Bedminster also doubles up as a private event space for hire, with exclusive use of the venue for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries as well as workshops, book clubs, community events and product launches.
BANK Restaurant in Totterdown is available for large parties and private events. They can accommodate groups of up to 20 guests for our four course feasting menu. Or If you're looking for something a little more intimate, they can offer private venue hire for parties of up to 42 people.
