Brewery tours and experiences

Take a tour of one of our brilliant local breweries, with regular tours available at many of them, including Wiper and True’s brewery in Old Market or Lost and Grounded in Brislington. Many breweries also offer brewing experiences or special tasting events – such as Bristol Beer Factory's beer tastings and ‘Meet the brewer’ evenings.

Visit our local producers

6 O’clock Gin in Thornbury run regular tours of their distillery, where you’ll be able to find out more about their processes, and of course taste some delicious gin and liqueurs! You can also sample their wares and purchase bottles to take home from their bar and shop on the Glassboat in the city centre.

You can also book a tour of the orchards and factory at Thatchers Cider, where you can then stock up on cider from the barrel at their cider farm shop, or refuel with a hearty lunch at their pub next door, The Railway Inn. The farm itself is on the Strawberry Line cycle path, if you wanted to work up a thirst with a bike ride from Bristol!

Take a trip out to local vineyard and combine a tour with wine tasting at Aldwick Estate Vineyard just outside the city, or Woodchester Valley Vineyard in Gloucestershire.
