Nothing says Halloween like picking and carving your own pumpkin. Visit pumpkin patches at Avon Valley, Brean Leisure Park, or Farrington’s for some hands-on, seasonal fun.

Free Events

Discover Bristol's creative heart at Stokes Croft calling on Sunday 27 October, where you can join a street art workshop, enjoy street performances, watch a live circus, and lots more.

Watch live immersive re-enactments of true historic tales in Hidden Stories of Christmas Steps on Saturday 2 November, performed by characters you will come across at different spots up and down Bristol's iconic Christmas Steps.

Head to Bristol Cathedral throughout half term to see the spectacular Gaia: Our Home Planet, a 7-metre Earth artwork by Bristol artist Luke Jerram, and take part in educational eco-craft activities and inspire the next generation of sustainability experts. 

Bristol's Christmas Market opens in Broadmead on 1 November, so you can browse the multitude of food and craft stalls or look out for wandering entertainers, or head to the Cabot Circus car park for the return of their free skate park!

Please note that trains between London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads will not stop at Bath Spa from Monday 28th to Thursday 31st October. Replacement road transport is planned between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa – both non-stop and stopping at Keynsham and Oldfield Park. The X39 bus service runs up to every 15 minutes between Bristol and Bath.
