Food & Drink Events in Bristol

Bristol is recognised as one of the UK’s top food destinations. Our love of food is showcased throughout the year and no matter whether you visit on the weekend of a festival or not, you’re never far from delightful fresh local produce and street food on offer from markets, pop-ups and dining events across the city.

Bristol’s bars and restaurants host a variety of seasonal events and fun experiences throughout the year, from Valentine’s Day dinners to cocktail masterclasses – keep checking this page to see what’s new!

As well as the city’s beloved St Nicholas Market, Bristol plays host to weekly street food markets across its different district, including Temple Quay Market on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Tobacco Factory Market every Sunday.

One way to make your trip to Bristol even more memorable and see even more of the city is to book a foodie experience, whether you want to be guided around our food hotspots, make your own gin or visit some local vineyards.

Combine two of the many things Bristol does well: food and boats! Take a cream tea cruise around the harbour with Bristol Packet Boat Trips, join Bristol Ferry’s sunset boat trip with a fully-stocked bar, or book a fish and chip cruise aboard The Matthew (sometimes with added sea shanties!)

Bristol Craft Beer Festival is a highlight of the year, showcasing the city's brilliant brewing scene, as well as welcoming renowned breweries from across the world. Many of Bristol’s breweries now have their own taprooms and pubs, but also get involved in regular brewery tours, trails and open days, with a highlight being the East Bristol Brewery Trail on selected weekends.

There are plenty of festivals that put food at the centre of the experience, including Valleyfest, a weekend of great music and amazing food just outside Bristol in the picturesque Chew Valley.
