The original Broadway creative team has reunited to bring this production right into the 21st century. Witness spectacular new designs and state-of-the-art stage craft technologies – many of which were yet to be invented when the show was first developed over 26 years ago – fused with the classic story and iconic songs.

Based on the 1991 film – the first animated feature ever nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture – the charming tale follows the story of an arrogant young prince and his servants as they fall under the spell of a wicked enchantress. The turn of events sees the prince transformed into a hideous Beast who cannot return to his original appearance until he learns to love and be loved.

Spirited village girl Belle enters the Beast's castle after learning her father is imprisoned there. With the help of his bewitched servants, including the matronly Mrs. Potts, Belle slowly begins to draw the cold-hearted Beast out of his isolation.

A ‘tale as old as time’ which resonates through generations, it wasn’t just the staging that had to be refreshed for today’s audience. Bookwriter Linda Woolverton has made relevant changes to dialogue, with an eye to gender equality and progressive cultural awareness with Belle remaining the intellectual feminist heroine she's always been.

Beauty and The Beast is produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, under the supervision of Thomas Schumacher. Director and choreographer Matt West leads the team, one which collectively has received five Tony® nominations and a win for costume design.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast is at the Bristol Hippodrome from 25 August – 18 September 2021.

Tickets are on sale now. For the best availability please select mid-week performances with seats available from just £20.00. Book now.
