As part of your day exploring Longleat, you can climb aboard one of the iconic zebra print 4x4s and take part in an immersive, up-close experience. Your two hour Bronze VIP Tour will take you through the animal paddocks of the safari with an expert guide, providing unmissable opportunities to get even closer to the animals. Whichever animals you’ve got a soft spot for, your guide will try to get you as close as possible, so don’t be shy to ask!
In addition to a fabulous 4x4 safari tour around the animal paddocks, on the Silver VIP Tour you will also visit Animal Adventure in the Main Square. Here you will be taken on foot for a tour with an expert keeper and go behind-the-scenes with some animal favourites.
Create golden memories with this prestigious VIP package. You’ll spend the day meeting and feeding some of the Animal Kingdom’s most majestic animals.
First up is an adventure to Tiger Territory; feeding the magnificent Amur tigers. Next you will stop off in Lion Country to encounter the African Lions, in an exclusive off show area. You will then be whisked to Jungle Kingdom, where you’ll take a personal on foot tour with an expert keeper and meet some of the residents.
Now you take to the lake in a Jungle Cruise experience; feeding the sea lions and spotting the gorillas. Back on dry land you’ll visit the rainbow lorikeets for an interactive feeding experience.
You’ll then head to African Village, where your next feeding experience awaits; this may see you meeting the Rothschild giraffe or the tapir. Then enjoy a drive around the African reserve to kick start your immersive safari. After a stop to refuel and revitalise with lunch, you’ll climb back on board your VIP 4x4 to take a safari adventure trail like no other. Your guide will take you closer than ever and show you all the magnificent animals who call the Drive-through home.
You could spend quite some time picking out other animals these adorable burrowing mammals resemble. Whatever you decide, they're looking forward to welcoming you into their sandy pad for a behind the scenes experience, a feeding opportunity, and maybe even a scratch on the tummy.
The thrilling Tiger Feeding VIP Experience gets you closer to the world’s largest (and one of the most dangerous) big cat species than many people would even dare! Before the park opens, your dedicated big cat keeper will take you to the Tigers’ Territory, where you’ll learn all about Longleat’s incredible carnivorous residents. You’ll then have the opportunity to feed them their breakfast, from just inches away!
Big Cat Feeding VIP Experience
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to feed Longleat’s safari carnivores in an armoured feeding wagon? Here is your opportunity to be chased by the tigers,lions, wolves and cheetahs as you drop meat for them!
Not for the faint-hearted! To take part in this adrenaline-pumping 2.5 hour experience you must be comfortable with the sight and handling of raw meat and you must be in good physical health in order to be able to stand in the wagon during the tour.
Gorilla feeding VIP Experience
The Gorilla VIP experience is your chance to get closer to gorillas than most people would dare, as it introduces you to Longleat’s troop of five lowland gorillas. You’ll spend time on the VIP platform at Gorilla Colony with an experienced keeper, where you'll have a chance to come face to face with each of the imposing and astonishing apes up close, and even offer them branches of Willow or Beech by hand.
The troop will then make their way to their outdoor area. You will have unrivalled photographic opportunities from your VIP viewpoint and the freedom to observe the troop's captivating behaviour in their lakeside bachelor home.
Big Cat Photographic VIP Experience
This is your chance to get some once in a lifetime photographs with Longleat’s majestic big cats. One of the senior big cat keepers, with years of photography experience will be your personal guide during the experience.
You’ll be driven to the carnivores’ enclosures and over two hours you will be given the opportunity to observe and photograph African lions, Amur tigers, Cheetahs and gray wolves, from both long and short range with expert guidance.
Here's your chance to spend some time interacting with and feeding Longleat’s enigmatic giant anteaters. They do not have any teeth, but instead have a tongue which is more than 60cm in length and a tiny 1.25mm wide, which they put to good use by eating over thirty thousand insects per day!
Have you ever had a meerkat sitting on your lap? This experience allows you to spend some time inside the meerkat enclosure, giving you the opportunity to learn more about these adorable and fascinating animals as they welcome you into their home, and get seriously up close and personal. Longleat can’t promise you won’t be crawled all over though as the mob are very inquisitive!
Would you like to see the famous lions of Longleat, in an experience which takes you closer and more personal than ever before? The lion VIP experience sees your dedicated big cat keeper giving you unrivalled access to the impressive and famous big cats of Longleat.
Your keeper will take you to two off-show areas to meet the lions, where you'll be safe to get out of the vehicle and observe these incredible cats in astonishingly close proximity.
How big do you think an African lion's head is? As big as a dinner plate? As big as a watermelon? It's actually much bigger than even that! You'll be overwhelmed with their size, beauty and strength by getting to see them close enough to make eye contact - a truly breathtaking experience.
The Lion VIP Experience is an unparalleled encounter for any animal enthusiast!
One of the most wonderful animals you may ever meet is ready for you to get up close for an amazing and memorable experience. Red pandas tend to spend much of their time either eating or sleeping so this opportunity to enter their home with a keeper is an experience not to be missed. Found in Nepal, Bhutan and China, they live among bamboo forests and spend much of their time in trees, about two-thirds of their food intake is made up of bamboo, which is not the most nutritious of foods so they have to eat a lot of it to survive.
Our giant otters, Inny and Gordito, have made a name for themselves as a mischievous and noisy pair. Perfect company for a morning feeding experience! Your keeper will introduce you to them in their aquatic habitat where you’ll have an opportunity to watch them play in the water, before moving around to their feeding area and getting hands-on.
Although our giant otters are fed fish, in the wild giant otters are known to tackle some of the most fearsome and infamous Amazonian creatures including caiman, anacondas and even piranhas!
We simply cannot offer a more memorable or exciting encounter than Longleat’s Giraffe VIP Experience. You’ll get up close and personal to our stunning giraffes inside their house. These inquisitive and elegant creatures can be experienced from ground level, giving you a real feel for their remarkable size.
Giraffes, by their very nature, are sensitive souls. To ensure the protection of their wellbeing at all times, we flex the itinerary of this experience depending on their mood, and the weather conditions. But we guarantee your 30 minute experience will be spent getting as up close and personal with giraffes as we are able to get you.
