Lady Nade

About

Sunday of Bristol Folk Festival brings exquisite musicianship, rising folk stars and velveteen vocals.

Lady Nade

With nominations for Artist of the Year at the AMAUK Awards, and a Song of the Year win at the UK Americana Awards in 2022, Lady Nade stands as one of the UK’s most distinctive voices.

Recognised as one of Bristol’s most influential women (2022) she continues her rise as a multi award winning, folk, roots and americana artist. Nade has gained plaudits on BBC Radio 4 (Clive Anderson, Loose Ends), Radio 2 (Mark Radcliffe) and Radio 6 (Cerys Matthews), and her third album ‘Willing’ entered both the official Folk and Americana charts on its release.

Lady Nade’s songs carry messages of love, loss, hope, relationships, friendships and the positive connection between music, well-being, mental health and community. She pours creativity into every song, often lavishing them with a recipe to match. Her gigs create a communal experience that everyone can enter into. Her performances are like a reunion. Share a room with her, and she’ll give you her story. All of it. The joys and sorrows. You will love her for it, and she will love you back.

Heather Ferrier Trio

Stockport-born accordion virtuoso, clog dancer and composer Heather Ferrier is a force to be reckoned with.

An “engaging talker and magnetic performer” (NARC magazine), Heather creates a glorious and original sound, her powerful melodies setting the accordion free.  Bold and enthralling, Heather performs with her trio, guitarist Alasdair Paul (Pons Aelius, Jordan Aikin and Quercus) and drummer Adam Stapleford (Ponyland, Yes! Grasshopper).

On the verge of her first album release, Heather’s debut EP has already been picked up by BBC Radio 6 Music, and Bristol Folk Festival afficionados will note that Jon Doran and the Northern Assembly are amongst her collaborators in the North East.

Chris Fox

Singer-songwriter Chris Fox spans the roots lexicon of Folk, Americana, Country and Blues. A genre defying troubadour, he is known for his rich vocals, complex guitar, and loop pedal alchemy.

Humourous and thought-proving, Chris’s laid back, unostentatious style creates the perfect ambience for an intimate live experience drawing listeners in with tales of the everyday and the unexpected. Chris has opened for Fairport Convention, and been selected three times for Cambridge Folk Festival.
