About
The UK’S largest undercover winter ice rink is coming to the Tropicana in Weston-super-Mare from 7 November 2023 – 7 January 2024.
The rink features real ice and each skating session is 45 minutes long.
The rink will be open every day with the exception of November 10, when it is the Weston Carnival, and Christmas Day. Opening times vary, so check the booking page.
Skaters are advised to arrive 20 minutes before their session to ensure your skates are fitted correctly. Skate hire is included in the ticket price.
There is no minimum age but children under eight must have an adult ticket holder skating with them on the ice. And children under 12 must have a responsible adult watching on from the spectating area. There is no entrance fee to spectate. There is a viewing platform at the end of the ice rink for spectators.
There are some skating aids for hire at £5 each. These can be purchased on the day from the Box Office (on a first-come first-served basis). They are for children 1.4m tall and under.
Even though the rink is undercover, it can get very cold so warm clothing, gloves and thick socks are recommended.
Accessibility
The ice rink is wheelchair accessible. Manual wheelchairs are permitted on the ice, but not electric wheelchairs. There will be special quiet sessions, parent and toddler sessions as well as disco nights. If you have any questions email info@icescape-tropicana.co.uk
On selected Thursdays there will also be a skate and donate sessions where the admission price will be donated to charity.
2 for 1 Tuesdays
On selected Tuesday sessions until 12 December, you pay for one skating ticket and get another free.
