About
A natural pier into the Bristol Channel, north of Weston-super-Mare with dramatic cliffs and a victorian fort.
Enjoy relaxing on Brean beach at the foot of the Down, building sandcastles and visiting the cafe for a seaside treat. Then you can take a venture to the top of the Down and take the exhilarating 1.5 mile walk along Somerset’s greatest natural pier.
Brean Down stands 97m high and the views from the top are spectacular, looking out over the Bristol Channel towards south Wales and over the Somerset Levels.
There is also the site of a Roman temple and Palmerston Fort to discover.
