Getting to the games

So you've got your tickets, now you need to get to the match!

Make sure you plan your travel ahead so you can make the most out of your day at the Bristol County Ground during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019. There is easy and frequent public transport to the ground from the city centre as there is very limited parking at the ground and nearby*.

Plenty of buses run to the cricket ground, about 2.5 miles form the city centre. Local buses to the cricket ground stop either on Gloucester Road (for access to the Grace Gate via Nevil Road) or on Ashley Down Road (for access to the Ashley Down Gate via College Road).  Local buses are accessible and each bus has space for at least one wheelchair.

  • Bus no. 71 and 72: service UWE Campuses via Temple Meads and City Centre;
  • Bus no.73: from Temple Meads to Bristol Parkway via City Centre;
  • Buses no. 75 and 76: from Cribbs Causeway to Hartcliffe & Hengrove via City Centre;
  • Intercity buses: Severn Express and T2.

Use First Group Journey Planner to plan your bus journey to and from the ground, or Travelwest offer a free journey planning tool to help you plan which bus you will need and where and when to catch it.

Bristol County Ground is located approximately 2.5 miles from Bristol Temple Meads Train Station and 4.5 miles from Bristol Parkway Train Station. Both stations are frequently serviced by an extensive rail network from London, Cardiff or further afield.
