The cast of Tobacco Factory Theatres's Snow White will bring festive fun to the quarter on Thursday 14th November, from 5pm

Music & fairy-tale magic will light up Wapping Wharf for Christmas switch-on

Expect music, magic and festive fun at Wapping Wharf on Thursday 14th November when the community comes together to switch on its sparkly Christmas lights.

Bristol's much-loved harbourside quarter will welcome the wonderful cast of Tobacco Factory Theatres's Snow White to the neighbourhood to mark the start of the festive season. 

The cast will entertain the crowd with some lively musical numbers, giving a taste of their fantastic show. This original take on the much-loved fairy tale Snow White, created with the fabulous New International Encounter, runs from November 28 to January 19 at Tobacco Factory Theatres.

The evening will also include a performance from the Blackbird Children's Choir, which has a repertoire from musicals to folk songs to pop songs and comes together regularly to perform at events such as the Lord Mayor's Christmas Concert.

The festivities will kick off around 5pm with the switch-on itself planned for 5.45pm.

Tess Lidstone of BOX-E, representing all the Wapping Wharf businesses, said: "Christmas at Wapping Wharf is such a special time of year with all the glittering fairy lights giving it a magical feeling, so we are thrilled to have the cast from the Tobacco Factory Theatres's Christmas production and the Blackbird Children's Choir coming to help us kick off the festive season. It will be a fun family event, bringing a little sparkle as the wintry days set in, and we can't wait!"
