The Florist charms Bristol with its floral sensual experience

13th February 2018

Categories: Latest News

Located on Park Street in the Grade II listed building, The Florist opens its doors on February 26th to charm Bristol with its floral sensual experience.

The building, formerly occupied by Goldbrick House, will have its roots firmly planted in the core principles of floristry. Guests can expect to be well and truly charmed by the carefully crafted experience which will awaken the senses.

The Florist will be Bristol’s most beautiful insta-friendly backdrop with the abundance of flowers flowing across the three storey space. The delicate blossom is perfectly coupled with the tactile rustic textures, from smooth and shiny surfaces to coarse string and crinkly paper perfectly set off by the classic architecture of the historic building.

To create a truly unique space, The Florist has collaborated with local artists to bring the walls of the building to life with a number of bespoke pieces. Bristol-based contemporary artist Gemma Compton and graffiti artist Jody Thomas were hand-picked by The Florist as the inspiration behind their previous work is harmonious with those of the brand.

The highlight of The Florist is, of course, its bespoke food and drink menu.

The extensive cocktail menu is inspired by the three key styles of floristry: English Summer Garden, Ikebana and Modern Contemporary, and promises drinks that not only taste amazing, but look special too. Whether it’s a fresh cocktail infused with herbal twists from the garden, or one of The Florist’s 60 hand-picked beers, drinkers will be spoilt for choice with a tipple on offer to please every taste.

The food menu is just as vibrant, consisting of mouth-watering deli, rotisserie and grill-inspired dishes, with plenty of gluten free, dairy free and vegan options to cater for all, no matter the dietary preference. From tandoori battered cod to beetroot and apple pearl barley risotto, the diverse range of culinary delights share a common focus on distinctive flavours and fresh ingredients.

Those wishing to enhance their sensory experience can partake in The Florist’s bespoke masterclasses. Guests can enjoy expertly-led experiences in the crafts of cocktails, floristry, photography and gin and ale tastings.

The Florist will be open daily with an uplifting vibe, DJ’s will play every evening and will be joined by saxophonists and percussionists Thursday through to Sunday.
