Supersonic Santa at Aerospace Bristol (21 December)

Santa is flying in to Aerospace Bristol's Concorde Flight Deck exhibit on 21 December. Children can play co-pilot in the supersonic sleigh, chat to Father Christmas about their wishlist and take home a small gift. Booking is highly recommended! 

Santa's Grotto at Bristol Zoo Gardens (30 November – 23 December)

Spot your favourite creatures at Bristol Zoo Gardens before delving into Santa’s magical grotto. Explore the Christmas animal-shaped lights, take part in festive arts and crafts and Christmas letter writing with the team of elves and pick up a special gift from Santa.

Meet Father Christmas at Tyntesfield (Selected dates 3 – 19 December)

Running from Tuesday to Thursday for the first three weeks of December alongside their Very Victorian Christmas experience, head to Tyntesfield’s Home Farm courtyard for crafts, treats and a chat with Father Christmas.

Santa Sunday Lunch at De Vere Tortworth Court (Sundays in December)

Santa will be dropping by to give out gifts during this three-course lunch with coffee and mince pies. Entertainment will be on hand from a magician who will be impressing you with table magic.

Christmas at Cheddar Gorge and Caves (16 November – 24 December)

Gough’s Cave in Cheddar Gorge will be transformed into one of Santa’s workshops over the festive season. You’re invited to stop by and see Santa, enjoy a Christmas sing-song, and hear some seasonal tales.

Santa and his elves will be ready to meet your little ones in a magical wonderland, located on the Upper Ground floor next to Pret a Manger. For children with additional needs, such as autism or other sensory conditions, they have scheduled quiet sessions to ensure queuing times and loud noises are kept to a minimum.

The Festival of Light at Longleat (9 November – 5 January)

Hop aboard the Santa Train to visit Father Christmas in his grotto at Longleat’s hugely popular Festival of Light. Journey past the beautiful Half-Mile Lake before disembarking at North Pole Halt to meet Santa and his elves. Afterwards, go on a glowing adventure through thousands of Chinese lanterns and experience a winter safari as well as a roaring twenties-style Christmas party theme inside Longleat House.

Winter Wonderland at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway (16 November – 5 January)

The Mall’s Winter Wonderland is double the size for 2019, with twice as much magical merriment and the UK’s biggest ice track. Find Santa in his Enchanted Ice Castle, accompanied by theatrical company Bakehouse Factory. There will also be festive foodie stalls, a brand-new Tipi bar, and toddlers-only skate sessions.

Santa Specials at the Avon Valley Railway (Selected dates 24 November – 24 December)

Take a ride in a vintage carriage on a steam-hauled train and enjoy a special visit from Father Christmas. Nibble mince pies or festive biscuits from Santa’s helpers as you pass through beautiful Avon Valley countryside during the hour-long trip. 

Sail with Santa from the Cascade Steps with Bristol Ferry Boats (Selected dates 7 – 24 December)

Search for Father Christmas with the Ferry Elves on their cosy boat (complete with Christmas tree!). Once found, Bristol Ferry Boats’ charming Father Christmas will entertain, dole out individual gifts for the kiddywinks, mince pies and sherry for the adults while you cruise around the harbour.

Journey to the North Pole at Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park (Selected dates 30 November – 24 December)   

Adventure to the North Pole with elves Evergreen and Mistletoe on a mission to save Christmas and meet Father Christmas on this 60-minute immersive experience. Tickets also include A Tour of Patch's Toy Factory, real reindeer to feed and wish well on their journey, access to the Yuletide Square and Enchanted Village, plus lots more.

Avon Valley Christmas - where to see Santa in Bristol this Christmas

Twas the night before a very colourful Christmas at The American Museum & Gardens (14, 15, 22 and 23 December)  

The American Museum and Gardens have collaborated with illustrator Joe Watson to create the South West’s most colourful and family-friendly Christmas, inspired by the poem 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Wander through the gardens and themed rooms before meeting the main man himself.  

Santa's Grotto and Winter Wonderland Experience at the Grand Pier (Selected dates 30 November – 24 December)

Discover a winter wonderland at the Grand Pier where you can meet Santa in his cottage, join in with Christmas craft activities and enjoy the soft play. Visit on 14 & 15 November for a special takeover by Whoville’s greenest and grumpiest inhabitant…The Grinch!

Sea Santa Grotto at Clevedon Pier (14 November - 24 December)

The spectacular Porthole Room will be home to Sea Santa and his sparkling sunken ship grotto, made completely from recycled resources.

The Father Christmas Experience at Ashton Court Mansion (5 – 23 December)

Professional actors will lead you on an interactive experience through Ashton Court Mansion, ending with a surprise entrance from Father Christmas. There are festive activities and trails to have a go at too, plus a drink and a mince pie for grown-ups.  

Santa's Coming to Slimbridge (7 – 22 December)

Join Santa and his elves for breakfast or afternoon tea in a magical grotto at wildlife haven Slimbridge Wetland Centre. Get stuck into activities like icing gingerbread, building an elf den, toasting marshmallows, arts and crafts, and sending a letter to the North Pole.

Visit Father Christmas In His Wonderland Room at John Lewis & Partners (Selected dates 5 – 23 December)

Father Christmas and his Elf will be waiting to read children a story and give them a gift at John Lewis & Partners in Cribbs Causeway.

Dear Santa at The Redgrave Theatre (14 – 18 December)

With a story by children’s author Rod Campbell, this is a perfect introduction to theatre for little ones, with music, laughter and plenty of audience participation. Hang back after the show to meet Santa.

Santas on the Run - Lloyds Amphitheatre (8 December)  

Not a meet and greet as such, but you will see thousands of Santas take to the streets around Bristol Harbourside in this 2k festive fun run for Children’s Hospice South West. Pop down for pre-race festivities including face painters, entertainment and refreshments to get you in the yuletide mood.
