There’s always fun and adventure to be had at Wookey Hole Caves and Attractions... Hidden away beneath the Mendip Hills is a spectacular underground network of breath-taking caverns! Wookey Hole is the UK’s largest show caves system, home to the infamous Witch of Wookey Hole and our new Chamber 20 with rare rock formations. With these world famous caves PLUS over 20 magnificent attractions, Wookey Hole is a great day out for all the family.
Upon exiting their stunning chambers, take a walk on the wild side and meet their prehistoric, animatronic ROARING dinosaurs in Dinosaur Valley!
After, see what evidence your little palaeontologists will discover of these giants in the little detective’s Dino Dig! Challenge their life-size King Kong, search for little fairies in the magical Fairy Gardens while admiring the stunning views of the ravine and River Axe Waterfalls, from the Wookey Hole Pier!
Next, it’s time for The Witch’s Laboratory and 4D Cinema for a truly immersive experience! Let their witch take you into a magical world, and be transported into all-time family favourite - Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs!
Continue your adventure and head straight to the Monster Mill for more family fun! Discover a hidden world of cave explorers in their Cave Diving Museum and see real life footage of these adventurers in Wookey Hole’s secret water underworld. Now it’s time to see history come to life! Visit the Paper Mill for a hands-on demonstration, where you will be introduced to the ancient art of Paper Making! Learn the process used to make paper as the friendly guides talk you through the various stages and see if you could have worked in their Paper Mill! Step back into the days of early man with their very own Cave Museum! Housing rare and interesting finds from the caves, see which cave animals you can find in the displays and find out which ancient civilisations may have once roamed the area and what they may have left behind…
Celebrating over 250 years of circus, come and be astounded by the Wookey Hole Circus in the Wookey Hole Theatre! Taking place at weekends and daily during the school holidays, prepare to be amazed and enthralled by the thrill of their high energy, fast moving show. The shows last approximately 30 minutes and are non-stop, captivating the audience from start to finish. Sit back, relax and enjoy the magic, comedy and sheer breath-taking courage of these youngsters.
With two soft play areas and thei Pirates of the River Axe ‘Zap Zone’, there are hours more fun to be had inside the Monster Mill! Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of the seaside and pay a visit to the largest collection of penny arcade machines in the country! Have your fortune told, race helicopters and enjoy many iconic ‘coin-pushers’ before heading to the Magical Mirror Maze and testing your navigation skills!
A round of Pirate Island Adventure Golf is included in every ticket too making this an incredibly good value day out for all the family!
Food & Drink
Captain Jack’s Restaurant serves a selection of homemade dishes, snacks, sandwiches and drinks. Pirate-themed and fun for all the family, the large restaurant is open from 10.00am daily and serves hot food from 12 noon.
The Witch’s Kitchen is located next to the soft play areas, ideal for adults while the children are playing! Serving sandwiches, lunchboxes, pasties, sausage rolls and more, open daily during the school holidays.
The Ice Cream Parlour offers over 25 flavours of ice cream, along with snacks and drinks. Open daily from the Easter holidays.

Have an appetite for adventure? Their new caving experience will surely astound! Explore off the beaten track and have a go at traversing, climbing and abseiling with our experienced leaders. A unique tour which is perfect for groups and parties. See Wookey Hole like never before!
