Spend the Summer learning a new language with International House Bristol

International House's (IH) modern foreign language courses are designed for students of all ages, levels and learning styles. The classes offered suit all levels and are taught in groups, one-to-one or in-company.

Ways to learn in Summer 2020:

Holiday Ready Course (5 weeks: May - June)
Tuesday and Wednesday Morning, and Tuesday Evening - £80
This is a 5 week course consisting of 1 x 60 minute lesson per week. w/c 18th May - w/e 19th June
This course is for students who have a beginner level of Spanish, French, Italian, German or Portuguese. You will already know some of the commonly used verbs and have understanding of simple sentence structure in your chosen language.
Learn key phrases and vocabulary so that you can confidently navigate typical holiday scenarios and have fun sharing a few words with the locals while away!

Coffee & Conversation Club (5 weeks: May - June)
Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday morning for a mix of levels - £80

Practice your language in a fun and friendly environment. Enjoy a tea or coffee while gaining the confidence to speak in your chosen language: Italian, French, Spanish and German.

Book Club (9 weeks: June - July)
One for Intermediate students and one for advanced Wednesday: 6.15 - 7.45pm - £130
9 weeks x 1 1/2 hour class from 3rd June - 29th July 
Join the book club for a fantastic way to keep up your language by practicing both your conversation and comprehension skills. You will read a chapter of a book each week and then meet to discuss it. Your teacher will guide you through an open discussion about topical issues that the book presents. You are encouraged to actively participate and speak confidently about what you have read. You will need the book to participate.

Instensive Course (6 weeks: July - August)
6 week x 3 hour lesson plus 15 minute break - £210
This course is designed for students hoping to move up a language level in a short but intensive 6 week program. Combining all aspects of language learning, including visual, audio, written, reading and conversation, your teacher will provide you with the tools to confidently participate in each lesson. Students are expected to spend a few hours each week revising and completing homework from their previous lesson.
