April
Bristol New Music (25 - 28 April)
Hosted across several city centre music venues, this four-day celebration of contemporary music always has a few surprises up its sleeve. This year's line-up includes Ryoji Ikeda, Jlin, [Ahmed], Apartment House, Elaine Mitchner, Josephine Foster, Jules Reidy and Lonnie Holley. Tickets are available to individual gigs, or you can buy a festival pass which gets you entry into all shows for £75.

DIASPORA! (3-6 May)
With a focus on community engagement, DIASPORA! will platform artists from predominantly underrepresented diasporas who will perform, exhibit, screen, hold classes and talks on music, visual arts, film, theatre, poetry, dance, storytelling, crafts and more.
Bristol Folk Festival (3 - 5 May)
Bristol Folk Festival returns over the early May bank holiday weekend with a programme of folk legends, including The Breath, BBC ‘Folk Singer of the Year’ Ríoghnach, Spiers and Boden, Frankie Archer and Lady Nade. The festival is hosted across several of Bristol's main venues, such as Bristol Cathedral, Trinity, Bristol Folk House and St George’s Bristol.
Dot to Dot (25 May)
Dot to Dot has been known to bring hottest new emerging artists to city centre venues and they have announced acts for 2024 will include Jockstrap, WUNDERHORSE, The Magic Gang, Antony Szmierek, Hovvdy, Jianbo, The Dare, Panic Shack and lots more.
Love Saves the Day (25 - 26 May)
Filling up the late May bank holiday weekend with an eclectic programme at Ashton Court Estate, this year's headliners are CamelPhat, Rudimental and legends The Streets and Groove Armada. Other lineup highlights include Gardna, Ben Hemseley, Goldie, Bru C, Eliza Rose, Sigma, Joy Orbison and more.

Clifton Festival 2024 (5 - 15 June)
Bristol’s classical music festival returns with a line-up of the country’s brightest classical rising stars and renowned solo artists, such as tenor James Gilchrist, mezzo-soprano Helen Charlston, Bristol Symphony Orchestra and The Erebus Ensemble.
Bristol Craft Beer Festival (7 - 8 June)
A celebration of brewing culture in Bristol and beyond on Bristol's harbourside, Bristol Craft Beer Festival will feature a huge variety of the world’s finest beer, local food and live music from local DJs, across two days.

Take That at Ashton Gate Stadium (8 - 9 June)
Boy band legends Take That return to Ashton Gate to celebrate the release of their ninth studio album, This Life. They'll be joined by very special guest Olly Murs.
Ashton Gate presents BS3 (22 June)
One stadium, two stages, ten artists - the first BS3 festival is coming! The huge line-up of chart toppers and rising stars includes Ne-Yo, Craig David Presents TS5, Jess Glynne, DJ Spoony Presents Garage Classical, Fatman Scoop, Dizzee Rascal, Stefflon Don, Roni Size, House Gospel Choir, Damage and Krush.
Bristol Sounds (22 - 30 June)
Bristol Sounds returns to the harbourside with another impressive line-up, including Skindred and Reef (22 June), Gentleman's Dub Club (23 June), James Arthur (26 June), BUSTED (27 June), Placebo (28 June), Annie Mac - Before Midnight (29 June) and The Breeders with Ty Segall (30 June).

Kings of Leon at Ashton Gate Stadium (23 June)
21 years after their last performance in Bristol, Kings of Leon are returning to play Ashton Gate with The Vaccines and Holly Humberstone as special guests.
July
Forest Live at Westonbirt Arboretum (4 -12 July)
The outdoor concerts in the scenic surrounds of Westonbirt Arboretum returns with Gregory Porter (4 July), Anne Marie (5 July), The Corrs (6 July), Van Morrison (7 July) and Nile Rodgers & CHIC - with special guests Sophie Ellis-Bextor (12 July).
Bristol Pride (13 July)
Bristol Pride Day 2024 will take place on Saturday 13 July, with performance from 200 artists across 5 stages, including Rupaul’s Drag Race stars taking to the Cabaret Stage. There will also be an Afterparty at the Bristol O2 Academy with local legends Don’t Tell Your Mother, Confidence Man DJs, Jersey The Devil , Macha Zu and Bristol club night One More Time.

Bristol Harbour Festival (19 - 21 July)
One of the city's flagship free events, Bristol Harbour Festival attracts over 250,000 visitors with a varied programme of music, dance, circus acts, maritime displays and more. Visitors can visit five performance areas around the harbour, bringing beats, boats and backflips to the summer extravaganza.

August
Valley Fest (1 - 4 August)
The best-tasting music festival in the South West returns to Chew Valley with a fantastic set of headliners: Sister Sledge, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Tinie Tempah, The Feeling and The Skids will play, as well as Tankus The Henge, Nubiyan Twist, The Nextmen, Rat Pack, Beatles Dub Club, Junior Jungle, Stanton Warriors, Fabio & Grooverider, Doreen Dorren, Huey Morgan and more.
Siren Bristol (1 - 3 August)
Siren is back at the amphitheatre for three nights of drum and bass, jungle and dancehall anthems. Kicking off the festival on Thursday 1 August are The Sugababes, followed by Hospitality on the Harbour on Saturday 3 August.
Weston super Mare Shanty and Folk Festival (2 - 4 August)
Head to various venues across Weston-super-Mare to hear folk music and shanty singing, with singing along and dressing up encouraged!
Old City Sounds (24 August)
Celebrate the August bank holiday and end of the school holidays with a day of free live music and entertainment across King Street, St Stephen’s Church, St Nicholas Street and St Nicks Market.
Massive Attack on the Downs (25 August)
Robert Del Naja and Grant Marshall play their first show on UK soil in 5 years, planning for it to be the lowest carbon show of its size ever staged.
FORWARDS (31 August- 1 Sept)
FORWARDS returns for two days of music and discussion, with headliners including Four Tet, Jessie Ware, Loyle Carner, LCD Soundsystem, Maribou State and Yard Act.
