LGBTQIA+ Nightlife in Bristol

Bristol boasts a lively and welcoming LGBTQIA+ scene with numerous clubs, pubs and bars.

You’ll find Bristol’s nightlife scene inclusive wherever you decide to go, but if you’re looking for some gay clubs in Bristol and queer venues and club nights, we’ve got some top suggestions for you below.

Where to go

Frogmore Street, just off Park Street, is buzzing with activity most nights of the week. 'The Strip' has lively bars and nightclubs that attract a mixed crowd looking for a great night out. Head to award-winning nightclub QueenShilling - Bristol's longest established LGBTQIA+ venue, or to OMG for pop-fuelled nights out. OMG Bar is the sister venue to OMG, just a few doors away and has a great cocktail menu as well as a light-up dance floor!

There's a strong LGBTQIA+ community in 'The Village' in Old Market, with popular pubs including The Old Castle Green, The Old Market Tavern and Bristol Bear Bar

The Old Market Assembly hosts regular LGBTQIA+ club nights and theatre/cabaret shows at The Wardrobe Theatre, and nearby The Phoenix hosts monthly LGBTQIA+ friends night Don’t Tell Your Mother (DTYM). Just a short walk from Old Market, you'll find more club nights at Lost Horizon and The Jam Jar.

Check out upcoming events from local queer promoters, such as Punka, Bristol Drag Collective, Booty Bass, CONQUEER and Slaughterhaus.

Over in the Old City, you'll find Irish pub and cabaret bar Seamus O'Donnells hosting a variety of drag shows, karaoke and show tune nights throughout the month. You can also find LGBTQIA+ club and cabaret nights at Strange Brew
