About
Wake The Tiger, the world's first Amazement Park ®, invites you to step through the portal into the alternate world of Meridia; a world not too dissimilar to our own, facing an environmental crisis, but not everything is as it seems.
Once through the portal, you enter an old paint factory, Meridians call The Dream Factory; their hopes & dreams to re-wild their world. Visitors will discover wild experiments, beautiful, glowing flora and funga and be able to learn about the four Guilds, each based on the elements: Air, Earth, Fire & Water; maybe even become part of one of these Guilds.
With 30 unique spaces, this art walk-through experience is for all ages, and encourages you to expand your imagination through sound, sight & touch. From the underground mycelium networks to the submarine room and the vivid elder forest, you are invited to join a Guild and explore, discover and connect as Meridians try everything to re-wild their world.
You finish the experience in The Curiosity Shop where you can find a keepsake of your journey, followed by delicious food & drink served in The Guildhall Café Bar. Plus exclusively this Summer we have our Re-Creation Station; a chance to bring along your old bottle caps and loo rolls and turn them into treasure, inspired by your exploration of Meridia.
Accessibility
Wake The Tiger run sensory sensitive sessions for people who could potentially find a visitor attraction overwhelming when open to the general public. They may prefer less people and where anything sensory-stimulating is managed, including the lights and sounds. These sessions would also be for the families, siblings, friends and carers of those who would prefer a Sensory Sensitive Session. More details on these sessions can be found here.
