Dinosaur Valley at Avon Valley Adventure Park
Get up close with the largest collection of animatronic dinosaurs in the South West at Avon Valley Adventure Park this summer! Open from 12 - 13 July and then from 19 July - 31 August, explore the park to discover a 15m T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, Allosaurus, Raptors and more. Visit once this summer and return for free!
Dinosaur Valley is included in your day ticket, along with the Mini Jeep Dino Safari, Strawberry Line Miniature Railway and Tractor & Trailer Ride. You can also meet various farm and small animals around the park, and little ones will enjoy the adventure playground as well as seasonal activities throughout summer. You can also book a family-friendly glamping stay at Avon Valley which includes free entry to the adventure park throughout your stay.

Dinosaur Experience at Wookey Hole
Prepare yourself for an encounter with life-sized dinosaurs in Wookey Hole's all-new dinosaur experience this summer. Stand among these towering giants and imagine yourself 66 million years in the past as they roar and stomp. Unleash your inner archaeologist and uncover ancient bones buried beneath the sand in the Fossil Dig area, or you may be lucky enough to meet the Dino-Ranger, who can introduce you to some very cute baby dinosaurs.
Your ticket this summer not only includes the dinosaur experience and entry to the showstopping caves, but also a new circus show, 4D cinema experience of The Lost World, a giant soft play area, pirate-themed mini golf and two on-site museums.
- If you don't feel like cramming everything into one day, you can stay next door at the Wookey Hole Hotel, which includes free entry to the Wookey Hole attractoins. There are also hot tub lodges and camping options nearby.

Jurassic Immersive at Cribbs Causeway
New to Bristol this summer and running until 14 September, dino fans can enjoy a thrilling day out with life-like dinosaur encounters, virtual reality rides and hands-on activities. Fly with Pterosaurs, dig for fossils, or stand face-to-face with the mighty T-Rex and gentle Brachiosaurus. Under 3s can visit for free.

Dinosaur Day at Berkeley Castle
Head to Berkeley Castle on 27 July to see some dinos stomp around the arena and wow the crowds. The event is included in the standard admission ticket when you book for 27 July.

See the Bristol Dinosaur at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery
Come and see a dinosaur which was roaming around Bristol millions of years ago! Thecodontosaurus, otherwise known as 'The Bristol Dinosaur', was discovered in 1834, and the museum now houses both its fossilised remains and a model of what we believe this small dinosaur would have looked like.

Dinosaur soft play at The Grand Pier
Littles ones will enjoy burning off some energy at the new dinosaur-themed soft play area on The Grand Pier, which is included in the price of your wristband. There's also a party room you can hire above the soft play area if you're celebrating a special occasion!

Fossil Hunting along the coast
The coast near Bristol is well known for fossil hunting, including the beach below Aust Cliffs, Kilve Beach or Portishead Beach. Keep your eyes peeled for the ancient remains of reptiles, ammonites and more. Wookey Hole Caves also have their fair share of fosills, with pasy discoveries in the area including the fossils of rhinoceros, bears, mammoths, and lions.

The Evolution Collection at the Botanic Garden features plants which date back around 200 million years, when dinosaurs would have been roaming the planet. Learn more about how plants have adapted over time, and which plants have gone extinct in that time.
