The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicks off on Thursday 11 June, with 48 teams taking part in a total of 104 matches in just over five weeks. The tournament is being hosted across Canada, Mexico and the United States, but this is our guide to where you can catch all of the action right here in Bristol!

England's upcoming fixtures are:

  • Tuesday 23 June, 9pm BST -  England vs Ghana
  • Saturday 27 June, 10pm BST - England vs Panama

Here's our list of places where you can watch the World Cup around Bristol, including fan zones, drinks packages and special events. As some fixtures are taking place late at night and in the early hours of the morning, many pubs and venues are extending their opening hours. See more information below, or check with the venues before booking for more detailed opening times.

World Cup Fan Zones in Bristol

There are several large-scale fan zones in Bristol, and luckily, they all have both indoor or covered seating if the weather isn't on our side!

The Prospect Building

This huge venue in St Phillips, just a ten minute walk behind Temple Meads Station, is screening all of the England games, with huge screens, football legends and a huge bar, with the events going on until midnight. You can also order food from Pizzarova. Tickets are £6 plus booking fee, and the events are 18+ only. Book tickets

Strike Fanzone, Sawmills

This new fan zone in East Bristol will  be screening the England games and has big outdoor screens, street food traders, and live bands and DJs to set the mood before the games. The venue is open until 11pm. Tickets start from just £1 for standing places. Tables are £15 and seat up to six people. Book tickets

O2 Academy

This city centre venue claims to be showing all of the action on Bristol's biggest screen. The fan park is fully indoors, with three levels to watch the action, plus DJs and CO2 canons for the big moments. They'll even have a guest appearance from the Wealdstone Raider! Tickets are available for each of England's games, and are £10, including a free pint. Book tickets

Bristol Sounds

Ticket holders for The Kooks (23 June) & The Streets (27 June) can watch live World Cup match coverage streamed across the three outdoor screens!⁠ Both headline performances will finish ahead of kick-off, with a pre-match and half time DJ ‘Press Play With Stacey’ keeping the energy high for England vs Ghana and England vs Panama games. Both gigs are sold out, but a waiting list is available via Tixel.

The Memorial Stadium

Bristol Rovers Football Club will be showing England's games on their Fanzone screen as well as in Thatchers Bar, with all-day Happy Hours running across the bars, and The Grill serving burgers and chips. Doors will open earlier on Wednesday 17 June and Tuesday 23 June so that supporters can enjoy the earlier games at 6pm followed by live music on the Fanzone stage, with England's games kicking off at 9pm. No booking is required, but we recommend arriving early to secure a spot.

The Independence Sports Bar, Ashton Gate Stadium

There's no better place to watch the action than on the giant screen in Ashton Gate's sports bar, the location of the famous 'bar goes wild' meme. They're hosting special screening parties for the England games, with £7 tickets including a drink, which can be your choose of a pint, soft drink or pre-mixed spirit and mixer. You can also order from the 'Loaded' food menu during games, and listen to DJs in the pre-match build-up. 18+ only. Book tickets

Bristol pubs & bars showing the World Cup

Three Brothers Burgers

Head to Bristol's harbourside burger barge on Welsh Back, which will be screening all games with a kick-off time earlier than 10pm. Get in early for their 4 pints for £12 deal (4 - 6pm, Monday to Thursday), grab a burger and fries, and settle in for the games. Games are being screened on the boat part of the restaurant only. Book your table via their website, select a time after 7PM, choose the “World Cup booking” option and add a note confirming which game you’re joining for.

Racks Bar and Kitchen

With nine screens to choose from, Clifton sports bar Racks is a favourite Bristol hangout for watching live sport. They’ll be showing all England matches that kick off before midnight, with guests able to order game day food from their menu, including classic combos such as steak and chips, dirty fries and burgers. Racks are also running pint deals, shots and more, and students can enjoy 20% off. Walk-ins are welcome on the day, but they'd recommend booking yourself a table, just in case!

King Street Brew House

With a microbrewery on site, King Street Brew House is the ideal place for serious beer lovers to watch all of the World Cup games - they'll be showing all of the big games as well as England's matches. As well as a smashing selection of cask and keg beers, they have delicious burgers, sharing plates and loaded fries, with vegan options available. No bookings needed, just show up and grab a seat inside or on the large tables outside!

Wiper and True Taproom

Watch all of England's games plus the semi-finals and World Cup final unfold on the massive 3-meter projector screen at this East Bristol brewery, while enjoying freshly brewed pints and sourdough pizza from Pig’s Pizzas. Free entry and no reservations needed, just come down early to grab a spot and order yourself a beer.

Flight Club

Choose whether you want to sit in the bar area to watch the games, or book a darts package and watch while you play! You can order food and drink to your table, and group bookings are available for up to 12 people. Book here

Bocabar

This bar in Finzels Reach is showing all of the England games on their 3 metre screen. Take advantage of deals including Pizza and a Pint for £15 (Monday & Tuesday, 5-8pm), or two cocktails for £15 (Friday + Saturday, 4-6pm and 8-10pm), and the kitchen will be open until 10pm during the games. Walk-ins are welcome but as space is limited, we'd recommend booking a table.

Hort's Townhouse

Enjoy an extensive selection of craft beers and delicious pub food while watching all of England's World Cup games in this large and stylish pub in the Old City (if you ask nicely we're sure they'll put on other games too!). They have an extensive menu of pub grub, as well as bar snacks for later games. Walk-ins are welcome, but booking is recommended if you want to nab the best seats.

Barbara's Bier Haus

Watch the England games at this city centre bar and enjoy a lively atmosphere, with large screens, beer or cocktail towers, two pint steins, and pizzas or hotdogs that can be ordered to your table. You can also pre-order drinks for half-time. You can chance a walk-in but we'd recommend booking a table, especially if you're in a group.

Sixes

This harbourside sports bar has plenty of TVs that screen the latest cricket, football and rugby fixtures. They also have a 100-inch screen, plus five other large screens, so you’re guaranteed a good spot! Food and drink packages are available, and once you're done watching the games, you can book in for a game of social cricket, or have a go on their shuffleboard or arcade games. 

Booking is recommended which also includes a game of cricket in their batting cages; however, walk-ins are welcome. Their £25 Flexi Ticket guarantees you a seat and you'll get your full spend back to use at the bar.

Roxy Lanes

This city centre activity bar will be showing all of the England games and biggest fixtures across their multiple screens (just ask if you'd like them to put on something specific). Enjoy special match day deals, including two games for £18 or three games for £24, with a choice of bowling, batting cages, shuffleboard and more.

Head to Cabot Circus to watch the games at this neon-covered bar, which has a multitude of screens, as well as ten pin bowling, tech darts, ice-free curling, karaoke and more, with gaming deals from £11. You can also get beer pitchers from £20, or feasting platters from £35.

Canteen

As well as screening the England games, Canteen are also putting on pre-game live music to set the mood. Dance along to Bossa Nova from Zubieta & The Suaves before England vs Ghana, or join the World Cup! World Party! All day terrace party on 27 June before the Panama vs England game. Entry is free until 9:30pm, and there will also be an after-party!

The Whitmore Tap

The Whitmore Tap on Whiteladies Road is the perfect spot to watch the World Cup with delicious food, snacks and a range of alcoholic and low/no alcohol drinks. They aren't taking reservations for the main bar, so it's first-come, first-served for seats.

If you want a private space to watch with your mates, their upstairs Wrington Room is available for a more private experience for 4 - 20 people, which features its own bar, TVs and games, and food and drink served to your table.

Harbour House

Catch the England games at this waterfront restaurant! Head to their bar area to watch all the action live on a large HD screen with full sound, while enjoying an impressive selection of beers, wines, and handcrafted cocktails. They also offer a great range of no- and low-alcohol options, perfect if you're driving home afterwards. 

Arrive early and make a proper evening of it with 15% off your bill when you dine there before the match. Tables are free to book, but are limited, so get in there early!⁠

The Coconut Tree

This city centre Sri Lankan restaurant is showing all England games, as well as all Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and the Final. Guests who book a table for the hour before kick-off can enjoy 50% off food. This American-style diner in Cribbs Causeway will be showing England's group-stage matches, the knockout rounds, and the final. Steam

Loved by locals and students alike, catch all the action of the World Cup on multiple screens at their Clifton and Stokes Croft bars, whether inside or on their outdoor terrace (weather permitting).

O'Neills 

O'Neills on Baldwin Street will be showing all of the England matches, and bookings are available for ‘Best Seats in the House’ tickets. 

The Lanes

Late Night Funk Club will be screening the first two England games at The Lanes, and the Panama game at The Exchange on Old Market. At The Lanes, you can watch the games across three large screens, with the option of seating on the first floor, or standing on the ground floor. The Exchange will have two large screens for the game. There will also be warm-up music from Head Rush Brass Band.

Grosvenor Casino

Based near the harbourside on Anchor Road, the casino will be open every day to show the games with sound. Walk-ins are possible or you can book a World Cup Package for £20, which guarantees you a seat and includes a £10 Bet Builder on the match, a main meal, and a drink (pint of beer, 175ml house wine or soft drink).

Walkabout 

This sports bar on Corn Street will be showing every fixture across its multiple HD screens. Book ahead to secure your seat (and maybe a bucket of Asahi for you and your mates too). 

The Cider Press

Eight massive screens, tasty craft beers and cider (up to 32 draughts!), pub classics like fish and chips and hand-stretched sourdough pizzas, plus a fantastic atmosphere all at the Cider Press. The perfect place to get you in full World Cup spirit and catch up on all the matches. 

The Royal Oak Horfield

Situated on Gloucester Road, with ice-cold pints, delicious food, The Royal Oak has you covered during the World Cup and will be showing all of the England matches, as well as other big games. They're doing buckets of six bottles to save you trips to the bar during the games.
