Old City Sounds

Old City Sounds will once again take over the old city in a free musical celebration for all ages. This family-friendly music event will celebrate the city’s songful soul on Saturday 24th August for the bank holiday weekend.

This year's event comes with a few twists as the performances move into some of Bristol’s most iconic venues, so you can enjoy them come rain or shine. The programme includes a Kids Zone at St Stephen’s Church with craft activities and workshops, a disco bottomless brunch at Blame Gloria, and a huge range of live performances and DJs across the Old City. All activities and performances are free to attend.

Kids Zone

The Kids Zone at St Stephen’s Church will be a hub of activity from 2 - 5pm, featuring crafts and face painting and a variety of workshops and performances for children and younger visitors.

King Street & Welsh Back

The Old Duke will be hosting its famous Jazz Festival across the whole bank holiday weekend. Renowned for its jazz heritage, The Old Duke will host top jazz artists, whilst the Bristol Old Vic will be hosting three top secret but very special gigs throughout the day. Dance with a waterside view as DJs take to the decks on board the 6 O’clock Gin Boat on Welsh Back.

Death Disco will be serving up slushies and tunes during the day, followed by live music and burlesque performances after sunset, while cocktail bar Dirty Martini get the party going with eclectic DJ sets. Blame Gloria will get everyone dancing with its ‘Lose Yourself To Disco’ Bottomless Brunch, with DJs on the decks all day. Over on Baldwin Street, Tonight Josephine will set the party tone with the ultimate in commercial house, R&B and chart-topping tunes. Check out the full line-up below
