Hengrove Play Park is a large open space which includes the biggest free play park in Bristol for all ages and an additional wheels park. The Play Park includes a 12 meter high dome with a jungle play experience, swings, and many other play attractions.
There is a distinct zone dedicated for younger children, which has a sand and water play attraction. In the wheels park you will find half pipes, rails, bowls, ramps and boxes to play on with a skateboard, rollerblades or a BMX bike. Besides the play and wheels areas there is are toilet facilities, a café and there are seating areas available.
Hengrove Park is accessible by bus and is a 30 to 40 minute ride from the city centre. Or if you would prefer to drive, the park is about 20 minutes from the city centre and there is free parking in the Hengrove Leisure park complex.
Hengrove Park is open all year round, but the Play Park has opening times as stated below.
1 April to 30 September:
Monday: closed (except bank holidays and in Bristol school holidays)
Tuesday: 10am to 6pm
Wednesday: 10am to 6pm
Thursday: 10:30am to 6pm
Friday: 10am to 6pm
Saturday: 10am to 6pm
Sunday: 10:30am to 6pm
Thursday and Sunday the park will open for settling sessions with restricted access from 9:30am to 10:30am.
1 October to 31 March:
Monday and Tuesdays: closed (except in Bristol school holidays)
Wednesday: 10am to 5pm
Thursday: 10:30am to 5pm
Friday: 10am to 5pm
Saturday: 10am to 5pm
Sunday: 10:30am to 5pm, or at dusk if that’s earlier.
