In Bristol you’re never far from green space, the city is home to over 400 parks and gardens and it’s just a short journey out of the city centre to beautiful countryside. Add to that some fantastic dog-friendly hotels and you have a great city break with a dog in tow.

So, instead of leaving a pining pooch behind on your city getaway, bring them along and put them up in style at one of Bristol’s dog-friendly hotels.

Avon Gorge by Hotel du Vin

Dogs are welcome on the hotel’s White Lion Bar terrace, so let them ponder the walkies potential of Leigh Woods and Ashton Court Estate across the Gorge, while you enjoy one of the most incredible views in Bristol. You’ll just need to let the hotel know you’re bringing your pup with you and they’ll provide a doggie bed and bowl to make your faithful four-legged friend feel at home. There are no shortage of walks from the hotel - as well as the vast expanse of woodland and open countryside across the way, The Downs are also just a short wander away. A cost of £20 per night per pooch applies, they must be at least a year old, and only guide and assistance dogs are allowed in the restaurant.
