About
Discover some well known Bristol legends and seek out some of the city's hidden treasures.
At each stop you'll have the chance to sample some delicious hearty food (think burgers, soup, cake and more) or taste some delectable drinks (there'll be wine, juice, cider and more). Some stops will be a passing nibble and others we'll sit and enjoy an exclusive tasting.
A sneak preview of few of the places we'll be stopping:
- The Folk House
- The Apple
- Pieminister
- No.1 Harbourside and more....
Each of the stops is a business with a story to tell. The team selects the Bristol independents that are doing things right - with sustainable and ethical approaches to their dishes and drinks. You'll hear about how they do things and why.
You'll make 8 or 9 stops and leave satiated and satisfied! Along the way, your host will also point out some great spots to visit, for food, music and culture, point out sites of interest in the city and share some knowledge about the city's fascinating history.
The day will be hosted by Florence, a food and sustainability expert, who has worked in the sector for over a decade, in education, research, policy and more. Florence's extensive knowledge across food and farming adds a richness of learning and interesting insights throughout the day. She is also a long-term Bristol resident, with plenty of tips and recommendations for your time in this beautiful part of the world.
PLEASE NOTE
The food will include a variety of meat and vegetarian options. We will be able to accommodate vegetarians and vegans with enough advanced notice. Gluten intolerances can be accommodated for to an extent but not at every stop. Please specify your dietary requirements upon booking.
