Contemporary art gallery Spike Island have their annual Open Studios event all weekend, which is free to visit. Nearby you can also visit Bristol's histoic boatyard Underfall Yard, or one of Bristol's top attractions, Brunel's SS Great Britain.
Take a look at this year's talks, workshops and tours as part of Lyra: Bristol Poetry Festival, listen to some world-class folk music at Bristol Folk Festival, or head out of the city to see local artworks for North Somerset Arts Week.
Ahead of the 80th anniversar of Victory in Europe or VE Day on Thursday 8 May, you can join a Bristol Blitz walking tour, Celebrate VE80 at Berkeley Castle, or head to a special Evensong service at Bristol Cathedral.
