The Bristol Hotel

With its waterside location next to the Floating Harbour, The Bristol is one of the city's top hotels, and has also been awarded a Gold Green Tourism award. Book a harbour facing room to enjoy the views, or get closer to the water's edge at their restaurant The River Grille, which has floor to ceiling windows and live piano music on selected evenings. Brook Lodge Farm Caravan and Camping Park

Take your pick from one of their touring caravan, motorhome and tent pitches (there's also the option to hire bell tents), and make the most of the facilities, including the on-site shop, children's play area and showers with hot water. The nearby Mendip Hills National Landscape is popular for walking, bird watching and cycling, and you're also just a short distance from the attractions of Bristol and Bath. If you have your bike in tow there is secure cycle parking, or EV chargers if you have an electric car.

This family run campsite in the Mendips just outside Bristol has operated for over 40 years and is passionate about preserving the local environment and landscape. As well as a Gold Green Tourism award, they have also won multiple awards from the AA, VisitEngland and FairTrade for Business.

Berwick Lodge

Enjoy a luxurious stay at this independent country house hotel just outside Bristol, which blends grand architecture and antique furniture with modern facilities. 

Berwick Lodge is proud of their Silver Green Tourism award - across the hotel, they've completely cut out single-use plastics, and instead use eco-friendly products from local Bramley soaps to compostable coffee pods. You'll find produce from local suppliers and their own organic garden on their menu, and even the flowers used to decorate the hotel come from their garden! 

The hotel has its own wildflower meadows, ponds, bird boxes, and bug hotels to help the local wildlife. They've also installed two Type 2 electric car chargers on the premises.

Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge

Hotel du Vin Bristol City Centre

Having undergone a refurbishment in 2024, this glamorous hotel looks better than ever, with each room decorated individually with its own colour scheme and furniture. All 40 bedrooms in this grade II listed, 18th Century building have custom made beds, Egyptian linen, minibars and satellite TV. 

In addition to the hotel's onsite Bistro and Sugar House bar, there is also a display wine cellar and four private dining rooms. Hotel du Vin Bristol City Centre received a Bronze Green Tourism award in 2024.

This independent group of Bristol hotels includes The Berkeley Square Hotel, The Clifton Hotel, The Rodney Hotel and The Washington.
