Sparks Bristol, a new addition to the quarter, is a department store with a difference. From fashion and food to nature and energy, each department is designed to support people to take easy (and often money-saving!), actions on climate, equality and wellbeing. Explore a huge range of shops, installations, events and more on the ground floor while upstairs is a hub for artists with studio and performances spaces.
Connecting Broadmead and The Horsefair is The Arcade, a Grade II listed Victorian shopping arcade, which houses some beautiful boutique shops and independent cafes.
The pedestrianised area between Cabot Circus and The Galleries makes it a safe shopping experience for all the family and you'll often find street performers entertaining crowds with street dance and music. Watch out for the living statues too!
During December you will be dazzled by the sparkling lights of the Christmas Markets that stretch the whole way through Broadmead. Settle down for some gluhwein, sample homemade sweets and chocolates or buy gifts for loved ones; the market is a thriving, major yearly event for the area.
